Re: Possible to disable immobilizer. The immob fault is probably a one off. If the starting problem is the immobiliser, the engine will start for 1 or 2 seconds and then stop. Your problem could be air in the fuel lines, coolant temp sensor, starter, battery voltage & earth, timing, temp sensor or glow plug fault. To do this, turn on the ignition, use your centralized button to enter the digits, several quick presses (example: 2 for digit 2) then a stop of one and a half seconds to validate the digit and resume, duplicate the operation until you have entered the entire code. This should enable you to start your Volkswagen Polo without having to remove
After some research in forums, I found that if I left the key in the ignition (for 10-15 minutes) with all electrical ON when the engine was shut off by the immobilizer, the immobilizer light would go off eventually and all would be back to normal, the car would start and keep running. It worked every time, never needed to bypass the immobilizer.
To do this, turn on the ignition, use your centralized button to enter the digits, several quick presses (example: 2 for digit 2) then a stop of one and a half seconds to confirm the digit and resume, replicate the procedure until you have entered the entire code. This should let you start your Acura TL without having to remove the immobiliser.
If you look through the mk4 key FAQ pictures you'll see that the immobilizer chip is on the other half of the key. If turning the key around fixes it it's most likely an ignition coil antenna problem. The range of the immobilizer chip is 1-3" so turning the key shouldn't normally change anything.

Banbury, UK. TDI. AFN Passat Wagon. Apr 3, 2012. #1. Hi all, I have a spare ECU for my AFN TDI Passat B5, which has been socketed. The only thing left to do is delete the immobilser code from it, to allow the engine to start when its fitted. It sounds like I can simply re-programme it through VCDS as per here, to delete the immobiliser?

To do this, turn on the ignition, use your centralized button to enter the digits, several quick presses (example: 2 for digit 2) then a stop of one and a half seconds to confirm the digit and resume, duplicate the procedure until you have entered the full code. This should enable you to start your Audi A3 without having to remove the immobiliser.
Yes, it was over 5 years ago (spring of 2016) according to the archives of messages. Carry on, with being bitter. Do a search of some past discussions and several names will turn up. Forum member "jetta 97" can do the delete and cluster pairing, as can many others. No need to be argumentative fellas, its not worth it.

Where fitted the immobiliser on the AK4698 will auto arm within 2 minutes of turning the ignition off.You can disarm it by turning the ignition on and pressi

Hello, I'm new to the site an have a problem with the immobilizer on my 2006 passat, I live 500Km from the nearest dealer and to get the unit repaired requires it being towed. The cost of a tow is around $1000 to get it to the dealer, is there anyway I can bypass this system, have it fixed by other
TDI. Jetta - 97 (RIP), '03 (Sold), '09. Jan 31, 2010. #6. The original codes were probably stored as a result of turning the car on when the instrument cluster was not in the vehicle or not properly installed, as the CAN gateway and the Immobilizer are all physically present in the instrument cluster.

This should allow your Land Rover Discovery to start without having to remove the If you had a used Immo 2 RFID chip you could recycle it and program it onto another car with an Immobilizer 2 system. VW cars made from 2002 - 2005 have an Immobilizer 3 system built into the dash and the ECU. Immo 3 RFID chips are read/write devices but they can only be written one time. When this is programmed, the sensor RFID sensor ring on New Passats (and probably the rest of the VW line) comes with a little plastic "tag" on the keychain which has all of the necessary "numbers" to get the right key. I don't know if the car has to be present to set it up with the immobilizer. It's a fairly closed process, shrouded in secrecy, because if it wasn't, these cars would be easy to steal. To do this, turn on the ignition, use your centralized button to enter the digits, several quick presses (example: 2 for digit 2) then a stop of one and a half seconds to validate the digit and resume, replicate the procedure until you have entered the full code. There are five generations immobilization system for Volkswagen: IMMO 1 would probably start off from 2004,around 2004 it requires a 4-digits PIN code, but you can get the PIN via OBD,you probably have to do this via bench. It does not require a dealer key and the transponder type is an ID48/PCF7935. IMMO 2 is probably between years 2000 and 2005
Immobilizer defeat/delete/removal of Bosch ME7 ECU's found in certain PQ34 (mk4), PQ35 (mk5), B5, B6 generation (and more) VW and Audi vehicles.
